I want to trace my Seneca lineage and find living relatives. Would anyone be willing to help me. I am from upstate New York. My name is James E. Poole Jr.. My mother's name is Caroline Johnson her maiden name was Jones. Her mothers name was Anna Mae Jones. This name of Jones,is from her stepfather, William or Bill Jones. Her birth father was 3/4 Seneca Indian and that his father was full blooded Seneca and I was told that the white man gave my great great grandfather the name of Stuart or Stewart, I am not sure of the spelling. My maternal great great grandmother was a princess. The name Lois comes to mind,but I don't know if that has bearing on my search.
