Our longhouses were made of large sheets of bark, tied on in tiers over a pole frame. They ranged in size from one room to over 200 rooms under one roof. Our traveling homes were skins but were set up in a round, low shape over lashed poles. We also used spruce lodges for temporary shelters. Try http://www.beyondthemountains.com/wigwams/wigwams.htm for some details on how they were made.
