Iroquois warriors were feared by all, with rumors of ritual
cannibalism and torture running rampant. Perhaps this
fear propaganda made their enemies weaker, softening them up
for conquest. The Iroquois were also skilled at
psychological warfare, keeping the morale of their conquered
adopted tribe members low by making them second class
