Yes, and the
illustrious Red Jacket, was actually named so because one of
the Redcoats (British soldiers) had given him his red jacket
in reconnaissance for services rendered during the
war. In other instances, the Seneca fought
against the British, as in the notorious Devil's
Hole Massacre, where 80 British soldiers were killed.
